A Case Study: LeTip

Where Social Media meets Business Networking

Business networking has become a new and exciting way to market yourself and your company to others.  By the power of networking, we form connections that are meaningful and provide us with points reference and potential business partners. LeTip is one such networking group which Scottidesign belongs to. Scottidesign also provides web design, development, and search engine optimization for a number of LeTip chapters.

LeTip Websites Grow Business

We originally developed a powerful website and marketing campaign for LeTip of Somerset Hills. Based off of WordPress our website is able to quickly add members and their information, member profiles, calendar events, and various pages, all of which were optimized for search engines. The website was a hit with our local LeTip, so much so we decided to market it to other LeTip’s nationwide. To our surprise the response was overwhelming and we quickly signed up, developed, and launched 5 more LeTip websites within the first year. Each website has a similar look, but unique content with various businesses and people.

Delivering Search Engine Results

Feedback on our LeTip websites are quite positive, namely the results they receive when searching. We are constantly reminded by each chapter’s leadership how powerful and useful our websites are to their members. Search results in Google usually show up right under the member’s actual web address.

A Case Study: Lynn’s Home Decor and Gifts

Website Design in New Jersey

Having a business that has yet to step foot on the web can be a nerve wracking process, both for the client and the developer. Will the client see a positive impact from our internet marketing strategies? Is their user base tech-savvy enough to interactive and boost the client’s business? Will the client stay active in participation? Fortunately none of these were an issue with one of our latest clients, Lynn’s Home Decor and Gifts.

Building A Successful Website with Social Media

Lynn’s approached Scottidesign about 3 months ago to develop a internet marketing strategy to launch their business into the digital age. We worked directly with the owners to develop a powerful FaceBook campaign as well as a highly customizable WordPress website which they could add content themselves or have us help (CMS). By harnessing the power social media, search engine optimization, and an active newsletter campaign through Constant Contact, Lynn’s has seen a positive impact on their business and community involvement on Facebook.

Website Design and Development

Lynn’s website is focused on their store, showcasing the products they sell as well as more information about the companies who make their products. The website development process was very visual with a lot of pictures of products, an in store gallery, and a page dedicated to the products they sell.

Facebook Marketing Strategy

Facebook played a major role in our overall business strategy, capturing excitement and involving fans. Integration of a Facebook widget on their website, as well as automatically adding content from their website to Facebook helped boost their impact and overall SEO.

WordPress: A CMS Powerhouse

At Scottidesign, we love to tell our clients how easy it is to manage their own website (even though most of time we will end up doing it). The most user friendly, code friendly, and customizable system (in our opinion) is a PHP-based blogging tool called WordPress. So most of the time, if the client wants to update their webpage, that is what we install.

Even though WordPress is a blog application, you can still use it as a CMS (Content Management System). So what is so great about WordPress as a CMS? Pretty much everything.

For the developer its the open source AND paid plugins that allow us to add custom functionally into our projects. This includes shopping carts, image galleries, search functions, and so much more. If you are in need of something, chances are someone has thought of it and created a plugin for it. You can compare it to the Apple’s iPhone anthem “There’s an App for that.”

For the client, its the simplicity of the WordPress UI and ease of adding posts / pages to their website. Clients sometimes struggle at first, being introduced to something new, but once they start getting comfortable with how to add, update, and remove their content it becomes an easy routine.
